Geoff has been on the team at Plymouth for 22 years. He started as the Associate/Youth Pastor and has led the church as Senior Pastor since 2009. He has overall responsibility for the vision and direction and teaching of the church, which he leads in conjunction with the church elders with the help of a dedicated church staff team. Geoff is married to Jenny, who heads up Alpha, and they have two teenage children.

Paul has been part of PCC for 17 years. He was originally an elder while still serving in the Royal Navy and came on to staff in 2015 as a trainee Pastor, being ordained in 2020. He heads up the pastoral care team and our Connect Group ministry. Paul is married to Kate, a foster carer, who leads the women’s ministry, and they have two teenage daughters.

Liz has attended the church since 1997.  She manages the practical running of the church: overseeing the administration, buildings and multimedia teams, managing HR, providing strategic support to the pastors and is the Finance Officer. She is married to Matt and they have three teenage children.

David Beresford was the senior Pastor of PCC for many years and now works part time as a Minister for pastoral care. He often preaches on a Sunday too. He has been married to Jean since 1969. They have three children and eleven grandchildren. Dave will be retiring March 2024.

Emma first joined our staff team in 2012 and has worked across a number of roles in both church and nursery before being appointed as our Church Administrator in 2019. Emma is the person you need to contact if you need information on pretty much anything! She is married to Karl and has 3 older children.

Natalie grew up at PCC and has been on staff for many years. She works part time managing media and communications at the church. She deals with the website, advertising, events, social media and video production. She is married to Matt and they have two young boys – Eli and Theo.

Rachel and Hamish have been leading the youth work here at PCC for nearly 11 years, alongside a dedicated team of volunteers. Rachel is also very involved with worship and often leads during Sunday services. They have three children in their early 20s.

Aimee has been on the team at Plymouth since 2018 and oversees the work with our older Primary school aged children. She works closely with Katy, Rachel and Hamish to serve the families of PCC. Aimee combines her part time role at the church with being an English teacher four days a week. She has two teenage children too!

Katy has grown up in PCC and volunteered in the church for many years before taking on the role of the under 8s & families worker. She does this part time and also cleans the church part time. She has just finished studying at University and has now recently married Seth, Hamish & Rachel’s son.

Josh has been attending PCC since 2014. He is currently studying Applied Theology at Regent’s Theological College, with his placement here at PCC. He has a passion for helping others grow in their faith and leads the church’s Young Adults Ministry. He likes to go Rock Climbing and walking with his dog Wilbur in his spare time.

Marc currently serves as an elder at PCC. He has an active involvement with the souprun team feeding the city homeless and has been a member at PCC since 2005. Recently retired as an architect working in the city for the past 40 years, he is also chair of Provide Devon, a Christian charity providing emergency food to people in crisis. He is married to Julie and has three delightful daughters and four fabulous grandchildren.

Julie has been serving on the Eldership team since 2014. She is involved in leading a Community Group, helping with Alpha and has a passion for prayer and evangelism. Julie also volunteers with a local charity providing counselling for those facing a crisis connected to a pregnancy. Julie is married to Marc and together they are thoroughly enjoying this current season of life as grandparents.

Paul is married to Catherine and they have two beautiful young children. Catherine and Paul both help in our Sunday youth/children groups and with Friday night Soup Run. Paul has recently completed his Minister in Training with Elim and currently works full time as a project manager.

Chris, and his wife Kate, joined PCC in 2019. They have 3 adult children and 2 grandchildren. Chris is a semi-retired Consultant Surgeon for the NHS. He is the chairman of Operation Hernia, an international medical charity whose volunteers deliver humanitarian hernia surgery to needy populations. Chris also helps out at Street Pastors, as a Prayer Pastor. He is a keen Liverpool supporter.
