Plymouth Christian Centre exists to love and serve people, enabling them to become wholehearted followers of Christ. We're an all-aged, vibrant and welcoming church in the centre of Plymouth, Devon. We are part of the Elim Pentecostal denomination.

We really appreciate your visit.

Whether you are new to faith, a committed follower of Christ or find yourself somewhere in between, we would love to give you a warm welcome to one of our Sunday services or mid-week groups. Here is a little more about us…

As a church we want to be:

Jesus-centred

First and foremost, we want to be followers of Jesus. We want to grow in our love for and relationship with Jesus and to become more like him and to point people towards him.

“Come, follow me,” Jesus said.

– Matthew 4:19 (NIV)

“Everything else is worthless when compared with the infinite value of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord.”

– Philippians 3:8 (NLT)

Bible-based

We want to be a church that has strong biblical roots and that teaches the Bible faithfully, consistently, creatively and in a culturally relevant way.

“The grass withers and the flowers fall, but the word of our God endures forever.”

– Isaiah 40:8 (NIV)

“All the believers devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching, and to fellowship, and to sharing in meals (including the Lord’s Supper), and to prayer.”

– Acts 2:42 (NLT)

Spirit-led

We want to be a church that keeps in step with the Spirit of God, that follows his guidance and grows in the fruit and the gifts of the Spirit.

“For all who are led by the Spirit of God are children of God.”

– Romans 8:14 (NLT)

“If we live by the Spirit, let us also keep in step with the Spirit.”

– Galatians 5:25 (ESV)

People-focused

We want to be a church that is constantly and naturally reaching out to unchurched people and to be a church where people can belong and experience community and play their part.

“Go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.”

– Matthew 28:19 (NLT)

“Let me give you a new command: Love one another. In the same way I loved you, you love one another. This is how everyone will recognize that you are my disciples—when they see the love you have for each other.”

– John 13:35 (MSG)
