Scripture tells us "Let each of you look not only to his own interests but also to the interests of others" (Philippians 2:4). Here are some ways we are trying to help both our church family and the local community.

Soup Run
We work alongside the city-wide Soup Run, which offers free food to the homeless and vulnerable every day. We organise the Friday night drop off around the city. We have two teams that work on a rota basis – the food prep team cook and prepare from 1pm and the distribution team go out from 8pm. If you are interested in getting involved please email the soup run leader >

Love Thy Neighbour
We provide emergency food parcels for people in the local area (PL4) who are experiencing crisis. We run this on a Tuesday evening and Saturday morning from the East End Development Trust. Please email ltn@plymouthchristiancentre.org for more info.

Pastoral Care
We want to make sure that everyone who is a part of our church feels supported and helped. Our Community Groups care for one another in this way and we also have a great Pastoral Care Team who make phone calls, visit people and offer help wherever they can.

Compassion
As a church we partner with another church in Uganda, through the charity Compassion. Many members of our church also sponsor individual children from Uganda (and other places).

Acts 435
We offer practical support through partnering with the charity ACTS 435 – an online giving charity, directly connecting those who want to give with those who are in genuine need of their help, through a network of local churches and charities.
